NERAL- MATHERAN TOY TRAIN

Take a journey on the age old toy train. Enjoy the sights and sounds en route from Neral to Matheran market. Don’t miss the ticket station with their vintage machines, it takes you straight back to the British Raj.

LOUISA POINT

Louisa point is a popular sightseeing destination for tourists and nature lovers.
Louisa Point boasts of some of the best views of the valley. On a clear day you can even capture great views of the historical Vishalgad Prabhal forts.

CHARLOTTE LAKE

Charlotte Lake is a beautiful spot and very popular among locals and tourists alike. For the spiritually inclined, the Pisarnath temple is a stone’s throw away from Charlotte Lake. Don’t miss Echo point and Louisa point which are walking distance from here as well.

PORCUPINE POINT (SUNSET POINT)

Porcupine Point offers the best sunset views and an ever so slight glimpse of the Prabalgad fort. While there, catch a glimpse of the Cathedral rocks and its beautiful surrounding forests.

PANORAMA POINT

Early risers, make your way to Panorama Point. The best views of sunrise can be captured here. A great picnic spot for those who want to make an event of it.
From here you can spot Chanderi, Navara-Navari, Peb fort and Mhas-Mal, Hart point, Porcupine point and Monkey point.

ALEXANDER POINT

Enjoy the splendor of Palasdari Lake, Rambaug Point, Garbut Point, Chowk point and the quaint downhill village of Borgaon.
The stunning view of the towers of Bhivpuri Power house is incredible from Alexander Point. Enjoy the soft cool breeze in this valley.

ECHO POINT

Hear the sound of your voice echo against the walls of the mountains in this fun natural amusement. Nature lovers, If you happen to be in Matheran in October or November don’t miss the view of the magnificent waterfall from Echo Point.

MONKEY POINT

Monkey Point is about 3 kms from the Post Office and gets its name from the abundance of monkeys settling there. Watch your belongings!

ONE TREE HILL POINT

Attention adventure seekers and trekkers! Matheran has just the attraction for you! 7 km from the market For those not so adventurous, get on horseback.
One tree hill gets its name from the only one tree standing on this peak for years. One tree hill is also the end point of a trekking route that starts in Ambewadi near Karjat.

RAMBAUG POINT

Rambaug point offers 180 degree view of the eastern hills from Matheran. Located between the Alexander point and the Little chowk point Rambaug point falls on the way to one tree hill from. Morning or at sunset, it is a perfect place to enjoy the views of the valley.

LITTLE CHOWK POINT

Little Chowk Point is at the southernmost tip of Matheran. The spot offers impressive views of the Sahyadri Ranges, Karnala Fort and the bustling town of Panvel. One can also see the wonderful Vishalgad and Prabal Fort with its lush surroundings.

KING GEORGE POINT

King George Point is about 2.7 km from the marketplace and a 10 min walk from Charlotte Lake. This point offers a scenic view of the lake and waterfalls, and a large valley surrounded by three hills. The best time to visit this viewpoint is during the monsoons, when the lake overflows.

KHANDALA POINT

Khandala point is the nearest point from the main market. Dint miss the views of the sprawling city of Khandala. Here you will also find an attached garden and a play area for kids with local rides for young children.
